Welcome to Champlin Troop 276!

Our troop is over 30 boys strong and is growing every year!  We believe in good leadership through scout participation and getting outdoors!   We typically participate in Many Point - one of the Boy Scout's top 5 scouting campgrounds in the world, right here in our very own MN backyard!    The troop plans a Venture trip once a year for a bigger adventure.  The troop also participates in monthly camping trips, community service activities, badge advancement support, as well as fun activities such as game night.

We meet every Tuesday 7PM at:  Champlin United Methodist Church, 921 Downs Rd.

If you wish to contact the Troop, our Scout Master is  Brian Krause  b2krause@gmail.com

Troop 276 is part of the Northern Star Council in Scouts BSA  Our District is J / 110

Troop History:
Troop Founder and First Scoutmaster: Paul Wethern Boy Scouts was a very important part of Paul Wethern’s life. He founded Troop 176 in 1930. Its designation was eventually changed to Troop 276. We celebrated our 80th anniversary is 2010.  Paul was very active throughout the Champlin and Anoka communities.  Our troop remembers Paul at the end of every troop meeting by holding hands “left over right”, a tradition he started just to be different.  Check out the following link for more information on this dedicated leader and influential man: http://threerivers.nsbsa.org/PauleWethern.aspx
